Give yourself permission to look at how far you have come.

Rainy days like I am experiencing today can be a good time to review and reflect on progress. Rather than rushing from one task to the next, time spent reviewing progress can be just as progressive in its own way.

Reflection can result in a realisation that much has already been achieved and learned. This can propel one forward even further; encouraging even more resilience for those rainy days when all you want is sunshine.

In a recent life coaching session with a client we discussed the fact that the challenges we face in life make us who we are today. Reflecting back on those challenges helps you to accept and realise the growth you can experience.

When I did this for myself I just listed all the things I have experienced so far. At 64 years of age there was quite a list. I realised I had shed outmoded ways of thinking and behaving. I had grown in ways that I had not noticed until I did this deliberate act of reflection. The patterns I thought would run forever dissolved and I recognised the new energies within me and the resilience I now have.

If this interests you try it. Or give me a call if you want to book a life coaching session around this.
