Rewire your brain to create the life you want.

Most of us send our energy down paths we didn’t pick. What if you could change that? What if you could change your habits and thoughts to create the life you do want?

Firstly, it is important to think about self care. Your stress levels and the way you think about yourself will directly impact how successful you are in achieving your targets. The way you feel about an intention or goal will help propel you forward or cause you to stall. If you want to exercise more then pick exercise that you actually experience some moments of joy doing. Those memories of enjoyment will encourage you to continue the new habit you are trying to establish. Avoid I should statements. If you feel like you should do something then it may not be the right intention or intervention for you. My mother in law taught me to avoid should have, could have or would have statements.

The way you frame your intentions needs to be linked to your values. So if family is your top value then reminding yourself of that will help you achieve your target. If you want to lose weight by exercising more and eating well then simply remind yourself you are helping your whole family with a more active lifestyle and diet. This will help motivate you. Please note that sometimes the hormone cortisol is linked to weight gain and adopting a way to reduce stress can go a long way to encouraging weight reduction as well as diet and exercise.
