In the 1900s a French chemist Rene-Maurice Gattefossē discovered amazing benefits from lavender when he burnt his hand and immersed it in lavender oil. He then spent his lifetime researching the curative properties of essential oils.

Today aromatherapy is well known and many people use aromas to enhance their well being. Aromatherapy massage combines the sense of smell with the sense of touch and provides the most effective way of introducing essential oils to the body.
